The A.A. Waterman Pen Company was located in New York City. It was established by Arthur A. Waterman in 1897. Despite the similar names the company was not related in any way to the L.E. Waterman Pen Company. The similar names seemed to irritate L.E. Waterman and they sued to force the company to label their pens and nibs as "Not Related to the LE Waterman Pen Company".
The pens from this company are very well made. They are made of black, mottles and red hard rubber as well a good quality metal overlays. Several types of fillers are used. The eyedroppers are found in a standard type as well as a mid joint eyedropper like this one. The design is to prevent ink getting on your fingers. Later pens had a twist filler.
