These are very similar to the standard Long Island pen except that they have metal inlays in the body of the pen. The inlays are usually simple patterns but can include initials or short names. The colors were limited to 3-4 solid colors and the pens do not have cap bands. The Wing Flow name refers to the nib that wraps around the feed. This feature was advertised as improving the ink flow. The actual reason seemed to be to make a much lighter nib. The points are easily damaged and replacements are very hard to find.
