The Endura
had been a successful model but in 1929 Sheaffer introduced the Balance Pens and this set
of a rush to streamline pens. Parker, Sheaffer, and Conklin immediately began modifying
there models to compete. Waterman made another serious error when they failed to change
their models. These are very good pens but they really did not match the distinctive
styling of the Sheaffer lines and sales failed to keep up. These models have the standard Conklin weaknesses in the clip and
filler lever. Watch for missing or seriously sprung clip and cracks in the pen that holds
the lever on. I have seen some of the green models with moderate discoloration but the
other colors do not seem to be effected as much. |
