Esterbrook Reilef Pen - Mottled Green

Relief Pen - Made in England - These are high quality pens and they have 14K nibs that are marked Esterbrook. The nibs are well made but oddly most of these nibs are left oblique. The common features on the pens are the Relief imprint and the 14K nib.

There are several varieties of these pens. The earliest are plain black hard rubber pens that have flat tops and bottoms. They are eye dropper pens that look like the early Waterman pens..

The dome top flat bottom pen are later and come on both hard rubber and plastic models. Most are lever fillers but I have also seen this model with push button fillers like the Parker Duofolds.

There are more stream lined pens that are obviously made by Conway Stuart. The shape and clip are identical to Conway Stuart pens of the period but they are marked Relief. The clips have the familiar diamond shaped insignia but there is an R marking on them.
