Parker 75 - These are really great pens. Parker put everything that they had learned about pens and pencils when they produced this model. On the fountain pen they used the great nib style from the VP and made it easy for the user to replace. It simply pulls out and a new one can be inserted. The cartridge-converter system is one of the best filler systems made. It supplies plenty of ink and it is easy to change colors and types. The original pens had the sterling body that looks good and hides most types of minor damage. The weight and size seem to fit people with large or small hands.
Ballpoints come in two primary types. The earliest uses the entire top to expose the ballpoint filler. The later models have the more familiar button on the top to expose the ballpoint. Parker also produced a pencil filler that fits these pens and makes them into a pencil. The standard pencils are twist fillers with a diameter similar to the ballpoint pens.
The Parker 75 line includes a number of different designs and finishes. The later models are made in France and the last ones have a nib unit that is larger that the first ones. While these look similar when the pen is assembled they are not interchangeable.
