Sheaffers first pens were flat top pens typical of pens of the period. They are hard rubber and all have the patented lever filler. Models include clip less and band less pens up to full metal overlays on solid gold or silver. The overlay pens are very high quality and compare favorably with the other high end pens of the time. In 1924 they introduces the colorful plastic pens. Standard colors are Jade Green, Black & Pearl, and Black. Red Casein plastic was used for a short period.
